After graduating from the University of Gloucestershire with a degree in Events Management, Julian went on to work for England Rugby Travel; the Official Tour Company for the Rugby Football Union.
There he spent nearly 4 years co-ordinating sports tours for schools and clubs to all corners of the globe. Another part of his role was working on professional team travel, where he was the Logistics Co-ordinator for the Barbarians Rugby Club. He supported in the co-ordination of three tours including to Hong Kong in 2013 where they faced the British & Irish Lions, and against Scotland and Argentina in 2015.
In 2017, Julian went on to lead a group of multi-cultural volunteers on a health and livelihoods program in North Malawi for 4 months. The primary objective of the program was to raise greater awareness of sexual reproductive health among teenagers and young adults. With his guidance the team enabled the community to acquire greater knowledge on healthy decision making and relationships to improve their futures. Additional benefits for the community included gaining a better understanding of the importance of education, conservation and hygiene.
In June, Julian joined the Vallis West Africa Team. He has a huge passion for sport, including cricket, long distance running and rugby, as well as reading in his free time.
